Polar Ice

You will the following things for completing this tutorial.
Scrap Kit of choice or the one from Lynn. It's
called Polar Ice.
Thank You Lynn for letting Me use Your
kits in My tutorials.
Tube of choice. I am using the awesome work
of Ismael Rac and You can find his tubes now
on AMI. You can not use any of His work
without the proper license.
Font of choice.

Open Your tube in psp and minimize it. From the kit choose
on of the frames and Shift + D to duplicate it. Delete
the original one.

With Your magic wand click inside the frame and go to
layers new raster layer. Selections Modify
expand by 10 or 12.

Find a paper You like from the kit and go to edit copy and edit
paste into selection. Selections select none. Now slide this
layer under the frame layer.

Let's give Our frame a drop shadow by going to Effects 3D
Effects Drop shadow and I used vertical and horizontal 2
opacity 30 blur 10.00 color black.

Ok now I had to do the tube and frame differently as the
frame was a full sized one so I went to layers merge visible
and then went to image resize by 60 percent all layers
unchecked.

Now on Your tube go to edit copy edit paste as a new layer and
place her the way You like her. Duplicate this layer and
on the top layer go to Adjust Blur Gaussian Blur 3.00 and click
ok. Now place opacity on this layer to about 70.

Now begin adding any of the elements You like. You may
need to resize them as I did the frame above. Add the same
drop shadows as above. Add Your name and the same
drop shadow and then a copyright if You need one and
save as png and Your all done.

Beauty

For this Tutorial You will need These supplies.
Scrapkit Iced Candy by the lovely Lynn from Scrappers Emporium and
You can find it here.
Thank You Lynn for letting Me write tutorials with Your kits -hugs
and kisses-.
Template from the Creative Misfits Blog here.
Tube of choice if You choose to use one. I didn't for this
template and the kit was already pretty enough.
Alien Skin Eye Candy 5 Impact optional here.
Brushes or wordart of choice optional.

Open the template in psp and Shift+D to duplicate and close out
the original. Image canvas size 600x600 and then delete the
copyright layer and the background layer. With Your eye dropper
tool pick two colors either from the kit's elements or a tube if
Your using on. Either is fine.

In Your layer palette choose the squares layer and go to
selections select all float selections defloat. Layers new raster
layer and flood fill it with a color You chose.A side note here
though I used a texture from My materials palette and then flood
filled the floating squares. I just wanted something a little
different. Please experiment and see what You like. Then I added
some noise by going to Adjust add/remove noise add noise with the
following settings uniform 45 and monochrome checked. Effects 3D
effects drop shadow. I used the following settings vertical and
horizontal 0 opacity 40 blur 5 and color black. Delete Your
original squares layer.

In Your layer palette choose the back layer and go to selections
select all selections float selections defloat. Layers new raster
layer and flood fill it with a color or gradient of
choice.Selections select none. Effects texture effects weave with
the following settings gap size width and opactity all on 1 weave
color black and gap color a lighter shade than the color you
filled the layer with. Delete the original back layer.

In Your layer palette choose the frame layer and with your magic
wand click on the frame that's on your canvas.Layers new raster
layer flood fill it with either the light or the dark color You
chose from the tube or the element from the kit. Selections select
none. Effects texture effects blind with the following settings
width 2 opacity 10 color black and both boxes checked. Give it the
same drop shadow You used before.I also after I did the original
drop shadow I gave it a -1 to for the outer part of the frame to
have a shadow.

In Your layer palette choose the kiss layer and go to selections
select all seclections float selections defloat and flood fill it
with one of Your colors and give it the same noise You gave the
boxes. I also gave it the same drop shadow.

In Your layer palette choose the layer that says in the eye of the
and go to selections select all selections float selections
defloat and flood fill it with one of the colors You chose.
Effects Eye Candy 5 Impact and it give it the default settings I
chose to do it twice and added the same drop shadow. Delete the
original layer.

Do the same as the above with Your Beholder and Beauty's layer's.
When done don't forget to delete the original layers. On separate
layers add Your brushes or else word art in the box. If Your
brushes are bigger You can always click on Your box layer and go
to selections float all selections defloat and then go to invert
and hit the delete key on Your keyboard on the brush layer so that
Your not overlapping or You can also add brushes to the background
under the template. Just play around and I'm sure You'll come up
with something You like.

I didn't realize that this was a normal kit so You will really
have to resize the elements..For instance the bow I used I had to
resize it to 20 percent and it did it this way. I went to image
resize by 10 percent and made sure all layers was unchecked. Then
I used My selection tool and drug it around the end of the bow and
deleted the excess I didn't need. You could leave it on there just
be sure to move the bow under the frame layer. It looks good
either way actually. When I added the heart padlock I resized it
by 10 percent and drug it under the text layer. I did the same
with all the rest of the elements I used and then added My text.
When I cropped My tag I also sharpened it by going to adjust
sharpness sharpen.

Lynn

Scrapkit by the wonderful Lynn here.
This kit was free at the time of this writing.
Thank You so much Lynn for allowing Me to use Your kits in My
tutorials.
Template by Annu at the Mistfits Blog here.
Tube of Choice. I chose to use a tube that was made by the
awesome artist Ismael Rac. This tube was an exclusive tube
for Creative Misfits. You can join the forum and get it
here.
Please do join Us We have alot going on everyday.

Open Your tube and template in psp. Minimize the tube for now and
on the template delete the copyright layer and go to image canvas
size 700x700 You can crop it later. Press down on Shift+D and
close the original.

First open Your tube and with Your eye dropper tool use two colors
and minimize it again. On Your template use Your magic wand and
click on the layer. Layers new raster layer. You will have those
marching ants. Fill this layer with a color You chose from Your
tube. I turned My two into a gradient set at 0 inverted unchecked
and linear. Go to effects texture effects blinds 2, 25, color
black and both boxes checked. I did this twice. Go to Adjust
add/remove noise add noise with the Uniform Chosen at 15% and the
bottom box checked and click ok. Delete the Layer 2.

On Layer 3 in Your layer palette use Your magic wand and click on
it in the template. Layers new raster layer and flood fill it with
one of the colors You chose. Go to effects texture effects weave
and use the following settings gap size 2, width 8, opacity 15
weave color black gap color white fill gaps checked. Now give this
layer a drop shadow of choice by going to effects 3D effects drop
shadow. Delete Layer 3 in Your layer's palette.

Choose Layer 4 in Your layer palette and with Your magic wand once
again click on it and go to layers new raster layer and flood fill
it with another color from Your tube. Add the same blinds and
noise You did on the previous layer and then delete the Layer 4 in
Your layer palette. And then on Layer 5 do the same things You did
on Your last frame layer. I also chose to delete the flowers but
You can keep them on if You want and just do as We did with the
other fill's.

On the REBAL MISFIT layer go to selections select all selections
float selections defloat. Layers new raster layer and flood fill
with a color of choice but keep the ants marching and then go to
selections modify expand by 3 go layers new raster layer and flood
fill it with white and now selections select none and pull that
layer below Your text layer. Repeat these steps for Your copy
layer. Then add Your same drop shadow.

Now add Your tube or tubes and resize if needed and place them how
You like. Give it a drop shadow. Now add any of the elements from
the kit You like giving them each a drop shadow. I also added a
random word art I had in My folders. Now just go to layers merge
visible crop or else resize and add Your name and copyright and
Your good to go.

Grandpa's Angel

This tutorial was hard for Me to write. That is My daughter and Her Grandpa right before His struggle with emphasyma ended on June 21, 2008. He suffered this for years unknown to all of us until it was too late to really treat other than keeping Him comfortable. Shelby was the last person to make him smile 2 day's before He died. He never smiled again. I hold that memory close to My heart as I write this and dedicate this to a trouble relationship between father and daughter except the last year or two before He passed. I miss Him everyday and I don't think there's a day that goes by that I don't think about Him and wished I could hear his voice or put My arms around Him for a hug. My message is if You still have both of Your parents hold them close to You because one day they will be gone and You will be left with so many things unsaid and undone. I love You dad and miss You everday.

The only things You will need for this tutorial are an image of choice and scrapkit. The kit I chose came from a wonderful designer named Lynn over at Scrappers Emporium and You can find that kit here

Open up one of the frame's from the kit.I used the Tonal Touch 2 for My tag. Do a shift+D to duplicate it and close the original out. Image canvase size 800 click on ok. With Your magic wand click inside the frame layer above and below the bow. With the ants marching go to selections modify expand by 7 and click ok. Now go to Your paper You chose and go to edit copy and then paste as a new layer on Your frame image. Selections invert and then on Your keyboard hit the delete key. Keep those ants marching and go to Your image and edit copy now go to layers new raster layer and then paste into selection. In Your layer palette on the blend mode put it to luminace legacy.Slide both those layers under Your frame layer.

Now this is preference. I chose to add some elements and the first was the Tonal Touch Diamond Trail. You can add it or not it depends on You. I went to edit copy and pasted as a new layer and then I slid it into place. I then used My magic wand again in the frame layer and went to selections invert and then pressed my delete key once more. I erased the part that hung in My dad's and Daughter's faces. I then went to Effects 3D Effects Drop shadow with the following settings on the new layer vertical and horizontal 1 the opacity 50 and blur 5.oo.

Then so that I had room to work with and add the other elements I went to layers merge visible and went to image rezsize and resized by 90 percent all layers unchecked and added anything else from the kit I thought would look nice. Add the same drop shadows to the the frame and other elements that you used on the first tube you added to the image.

Add any elements of choice and then go to layers merge visible add
whatever copyright if any you need to and save as png. Your now done.
